Maritz announces positive financial results
17 August, 2007 - At the close of its first financial year as part of the Grass Roots group Maritz, the performance improvement company, announced positive financial results with ten new client wins and over 500 completed client projects achieved over the 12-month period.
Although audited financial results will not be available until autumn, Nick Bender, Managing Director of Maritz stated: "Our goal this financial year was to break even, and I can confirm we are well into the black and figures for the forthcoming year are already looking positive. The Maritz management team has been superbly supported in this success by our Chairman and each and every one of our employees."
Over the past financial year Maritz retained all its key clients and has won ten new clients including: Allergan, Altiris, Bentley, Codian, Hertz, JDS Pharmaceuticals, T-Mobile, Whirlpool and Zurich.
From April 2006 to June 2007 Maritz has delivered over 300 travel events, including its first event in Peru, completed more than 200 incentive, communications and learning programmes and chartered 171 aeroplanes, in addition to individual ticketing.
David Evans, Chairman and Founder of Grass Roots Group, demonstrated his commitment to Maritz, and delight in the positive results, by rewarding all Maritz employees with a generous share of the profits.
Two Maritz employees, Project Manager Clare Starck and Director, Project Support, Karen Giles, were also rewarded for generating revenue-creating and cost-saving initiatives through the Maritz’s last quarterly internal incentive, ‘Spring into Action’.
