Maritz attain top results in ISP Motivation Diploma
24th January, 2008 -Performance Improvement specialist Maritz announced that five of its employees have been awarded the ISP Motivation Diploma. Emma Pittaway was awarded a Distinction, one of only two awarded this year and a special award for achieving the highest mark out of all this years graduates. Dee Bushell and Lindsay Hammersley gained credits and Clare Starck and Julie Yorke a pass. Certificates were awarded in February at a ceremony at the House of Commons.
This is the third year the diploma has been run by the Institute of Sales Promotion (ISP) and it is the only industry-recognised qualification in this key area of Maritz' business. The course takes five months to complete and includes modules of study including the theory of motivation, rewards and recognition, the performance improvement process and project management.
Nick Bender, Managing Director of Maritz commented: “I am delighted with the results! Fifteen members of Maritz staff have now completed the ISP Motivation Diploma and it makes me very proud that our employees are willing to dedicate their time and energy to developing their skills, with direct benefits to our clients and our business, as well as themselves”.
Three Maritz employees supported the ISP by marking diploma coursework, two of whom - members of the Senior Management Team - also worked on question development. Julian Bazley, Incentives Specialist at Maritz, volunteered his time to mentor the students, holding regular lunch-time tutorials.
