Maritz Director moves to head up DMS and new Director of Operations is announced

12th February, 2008 – Maritz, the performance improvement company, has announced that Giselle Ripken, formerly Director, Project Management at Maritz, replaces David Preston as Managing Director of sister company DMS (Delegate Management Services), based in Fleet. Karen Giles, formerly Director, Project Support, moves to a new role as Director, Operations, remaining in Maritz’s Marlow Headquarters, combining leadership of the Project Support and Project Management departments.

Nick Bender, Managing Director of Maritz, commented: “These new appointments help us continue the momentum that we have generated in driving our businesses to growth and sustained profitability. Giselle has been a senior executive of Maritz for many years and has all the right qualities and experience to step up to this important role.  Karen’s people management skills and project management experience have earned this promotion.”

Following their purchase last year, DMS and live events company MMM now reside under the management of Maritz UK.

These new appointments help each individual agency present the capabilities of all three – the ability to provide clients with a truly end-to-end solution, encompassing employee motivation and education programmes, meetings and live events logistics and production plus delegate management at large conferences and exhibitions.
