Maritz MD joins Grass Roots Group board

Nick Bender8th May, 2008 - Grass Roots Group Chairman David Evans has announced that Nick Bender (MD Maritz), Andy Lister (MD Grass Roots), Stephen Humphreys (MD Projectlink) and Andrew Wilmot (Chief Technology Officer) have all joined the Group Board with immediate effect.

The move is designed to ensure that the necessary strategic support is in place as the Group continues to expand across the world. It is also acknowledges the contributions that have been made by Bender, Lister and Humphreys in delivering strong performances from the U.K businesses that have helped to fuel the international growth. Andrew Wilmot's promotion reflects the increased demand for IT led global solutions for reward, recognition, incentive and channel loyalty programmes.

Evans praised the achievements of his new Board members:

"Nick Bender came to join us to support global expansion, but with the acquisition of Maritz Europa, was kind enough to accept this considerable challenge. He has assembled a great team in Marlow and has also led the integration of MMM and DMS into the family.

Andy Lister has demonstrated the qualities we identify in our values system at every step in his career. Each time he was given a challenge he has accepted it without hesitation and put his considerable intelligence and energy into such challenges.

Stephen Humphreys took over the top role from the founder of Projectlink, a task that should not be underestimated. Since that moment, our Teddington business has gained in strength and character.

Andrew Wilmot's willingness to take on a range of challenges outside his daily remit has made him the perfect player to make our global ambition a connected idea."

Earlier this year, the Group opened an office in India and is currently exploring opportunities in the Far East.
